Job Description of Otolaryngology Staff Scientist Job

The Bobby R. Alford Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery is seeking a Staff Scientist. The Staff Scientist will work closely under the supervision of our Principal Investigators and division Chair of Research. Our robust Division of Research will offer the candidate the unique opportunity to write reports, present findings, prepare proposals, and ensure quality.

Job Duties Otolaryngology Staff Scientist Job

Under the general direction of the Principal Investigator:

• Plans, directs, and conducts research experiments.
• Evaluates and analyzes research data obtained by the coordinators and technicians.
• Develops research techniques and performs applications required for specific research projects.
• Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
• Documents results of experiments and reports to principal investigators.

Minimum Qualifications for Otolaryngology Staff Scientist Position

• Doctoral Degree. Experience may not be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Three years of postdoctoral research experience.
